Recipe: Calm Eating

I noticed over the past few weeks as my stress increased, so did the swell of my tummy. Indigestion, bloating, cramps all came with the stress. And although I’ve never had IBS, that showed up as well. It’s not a surprise to me that this happened.

Being a Holistic Nutritionist, I know that 70 % of the immune system is in your gut and there are more neurotransmitters in your gut than your brain… It is true that what you eat affects brain function and whether or not you can fight off viruses…

So today’s challenge – EATING CALMLY.

And going back to basics is the one way you can do it. Here’s a complete calm dish you can start with.

  • sauté onions, garlic, broccoli, carrots, beets, kale at the end
  • serve on cooked brown rice
  • top with toasted Nori seaweed and gomasio ( sesame salt)
